ZIMMERS APPRENTICES TO PERFORM LIVE ONCE MORE AT THE “FLY”
ON SATURDAY 28 JULY.
On 30 July 2017, Zimmers Apprentices performed to an almost sell-out audience at the iconic Victoria Hall, home to the Fly By Night Musicians’ Club.
The occasion – the launch of their third album, “Are We There Yet”, following the immensely popular predecessors, “Just Your Life” and “The Journey”.
And now, they’re back. Such has been the demand for a follow up performance that a “one year on” concert has finally been confirmed for Saturday 28 July 2018.
Listen – and dance – to your favourites, including “Little Town”, “My Sweetest Dream”, “Wrecking Ball” and, of course, “The Fisherman”, together with a few surprises!
What makes this event even more poignant is the recent announcement that the “Fly” will, once more, need to find another home, owing to the lease of Victoria Hall not being renewed from 31 August 2018.
As this will be one of the final “Fly” events at this beautiful venue, why not give them the support they deserve – let’s fill the place and raise the roof!
Tickets will be strictly limited, so get a group together and secure yours early.
Zimmers Apprentices can’t wait to entertain you – one year on!
(Tickets available online at: www.flybynight.org)
The name, Zimmers Apprentices, will be well known to all who loved to tune in to 720ABC Breakfast with the late Eoin Cameron.
A collection of six ‘maturing blokes’ who decided that it was not too late to pen and track their own material, the group has developed a strong following over the past six years.
Their first album, “Just Your Life”, released in 2012, was picked up by Eoin and played regularly on his morning show for well over a year, including a live on-air performance of their single, “My Sweetest Dream”, in December of that year.
“The Journey”, which followed in 2014, continued to feature on 720ABC until Eoin’s retirement in early 2016. Both albums have also been featured by Jenny Seaton on Curtin FM.
Two years in the making, the appropriately titled album, “Are We There Yet?”, finally emerged in 2017, featuring 14 memorable tracks, once more highlighting their wonderfully descriptive storytelling, wrapped up in a wide spectrum of musical genres.
